Yesterday was so amazingly warm I coudn't believe it!! I was in a t-shirt! So of course I walked over to the beach during my 3 hour class break
beautiful day
burrito replacement
I took a durum kebab (my new replacement burrito) and enjoyed it on the beach. These kebabs are delicious I can't get enough of them, they are made with some sort of thinly sliced meat, lettuce, cabbage, onions, some veggie mix and three delicious sauces, one with lots of garlic, you can just imagine how lovely one would smell after eating them, haha but it's worth it, trust me.

On Saturday I went to a futbol game!!! Barca vs Malaga, Barca won of course but Malaga scored a goal too! It was really fun, I can't believe how insanely big the stadium is! Wow.
fuuuutboool!
huge stadium

making candy
Papabubble is a cute little store that makes fresh candy everyday! They put tiny decorations on each piece. I've seen some that even have people's names spelled in them! I have no idea how it works but its awesome! and this store makes the whole street smell delicious!
This is a reminder that I need to go back to this coffee place... it looks delicious

hungarian dinner!

deliciousness
dessert
My friend Adina and her boyfriend Victor invited us over for some traditional Hungarian food last week, it was so amazing! They made a kind of potato stew with tomatoes onions and bell peppers topped with some Hungarian style sour cream, perfect comfort food for the unexpected thunder storm that hit that night. For desert we had a kind of crumbly deliciousness with jam! The night ended as my mom would say "panza llena, corazon contento!"
p.s. Sorry the pictures are terrible, slowly realizing that auto white balance does not work.

Carnival!!

I stumbled upon a first glimpse of the carnival celebrations here when we saw the cutest parade of school children all dressed up in homemade costumes, most likely organized at school.
There were peacocks, Sponge Bobs, even kids dressed as Mexicans, I laughed a lot.

These carnival celebrations are a huge tradition and in the surrounding areas there are even bigger and crazier parties that start Thursday and last until Tuesday! Tuesday is the end of the carnival and is supposed to be the biggest and best in a nearby town called Sitges. So of course we went, it had been raining for a couple days straight so we had our doubts about going but miraculously Tuesday evening the rain stopped and it was even a bit warmer than it had been. The 30 min train ride there was not your ordinary ride, it was full of people dancing singing and dressed in crazy costumes. Once we got there, there were lots and lots of people, a parade, music, and a beach with even more people and music! It was a great time, here are some pictures of the night. I was initially dressed as a duck, in a yellow poncho in case of rain, haha.
