friends & food

Last weekend was great, full of good friends and wonderful food. I finally got to see dev's new apartment (the view of the roottops is from her place!) and got to spend time with Sakura chan and some of her friends! We don't look too enthusiastic in the photos but I swear we had fun! haha We explored San Francisco and Berkeley a little, saw a kittie on a leash, made a delicious meal on Saturday night and got some great indian food with Sakura's sister on Sunday. Even went on a small adventure through golden gate park sunday afternoon with my roommate and his friends. All in all fun times!

Hello from San Francisco!

I'm finally settling back into life here in San Francisco. Last week was design week and some of the big design firms opened their doors and served snacks and drinks, it was fun running into people from school and work and just hanging out. I've been biking a lot and really enjoying being outside, even though it's still not the warmest weather... I'm working on designing a bag for the chef pictured above which is going to be cool. The internship is going great (the photo of the plant is from the office) and I'm learning so much just from being in the studio. I'm going to try to keep posting pics and keep you up to speed with what I'm up to, so come back and check it out!

Carmel

Evan came down to visit a couple weekends ago and we went down to carmel to enjoy the sunshine and make yummy food with his family, check out the blue blue ocean!

Barcelona

Here are some photos from Barcelona, some are taken on film! I have a lot so they are in a slideshow. You'll see an Earth day festival, a labyrinth park, trees growing out of windows, ancient perfume bottles, new leaves of spring, a giant church atop a mountain (amusement park included), parrots chilling with pigeons, blue skies, cartwheels, a typical Catalan barbecue (calzotada), a drive along the coast, churches, cookies, kitties, bubbles and of course park guell. It almost feels like it didn't actually happen. Yet I'm still adjusting to being back in caaaalifornia, it's strange how six months can really get you used to a new way of living.

Brussels was cool too!

Some quick pictures of Brussels aaaand I'm working on posting photos from Paris and some film shots of Barcelona! I've started my internship with Alite Designs and its awesome! I have some photos from that too that I'll share, I'm hoping to keep posting photos of what's going on in San Franciiisco. It's funny getting used to the fog and wind here as well as getting back on a bike. I'm realizing that it takes just as long or even shorter to bike to work than to drive because it takes about 10 -15 min just to find parking... 6 miles of biking everyday could do me some good anyway!

Amsterdam

Wow soo things are getting crazy around here.

I left off at Antwerp right? That feels like just yesterday but somehow it was 3 weeks ago... geez. Well after Antwerp... came Amsterdam!

It was a beautiful city! A little cold... but green and full of rivers, bikes, and flowers. We happened to be there when there was a bicycle race around the perimeter of the city and got stuck walking around looking for how to get in and finally had to take a boat! haha I liked that. There were a lot of interesting store fronts, something I'm obsessed with as you can tell... but anyway there are more photos of Amsterdam on Evan's camera... eventually I will get some of those on here too!
